I would think that a company would be looking to its lawyer rather than asking an employee to find the answers.
In many states, commercial leases fall under different rules than the residential ones we commonly deal with here. But, as OK-LL said, it is matter of law that your company assumed the existing lease when they purchased the property. Your company really should look to its lawyer to get this correct.
