Many of my applicants are 18-20, live at home with the parents, still do not have any credit cards and have usually only had their job for a year at most. I am in Pennsylvania. I have taken a chance on young people with no credit or prior rental history and they seem to be just like everyone else... some good, some bad.
I just have to keep reminding myself that no tenant is better than a bad one and to be patient.

The IRS provides the option to deduct rent losses for a period of three (3) years.
