So we live in the upstairs apartment of this 4 plex and ever since we moved in (and signed a lease)we have noticed that the landlady and her husband will walk around the property at all hours of the day and night and peak in the two lower suites windows to see if anyones up to anything suspicious.(all three other suites are older single people, one per suite) now this in itself isnt against tenancy rules...they just cant enter the suites without 24 hours notice. This has really creeped me out, theyhavent bothered us since all our windows are 2nd floor but its still weird knowing someome is peeping about.
Well Conan and I are newlyweds and It IS hot outside so when we arent foolin around we are walking around in our birthday suits cause its too sticky out to wear clothing when you dont have to. Well the blinds sheilds us from ground level peeks but not from direct level as I myself from the inside can stare right through it. Well today with no announcement at all the landlady and her husband come by and climb right up onto our side balcony (where direct view into our apartment is) just to peep ...under the guise of painting a wall that doesnt even need painting (the rest of the outside of the house is worse) just because they cant see from the ground so they have to do something to peek in and make sure were obeying the rules. Me being sort of mentally ill and a little paranoid ...when i see prying eyes in the blinds and i COULD have been naked or doing worse with my husband i just freak. he goes outside and asks if they called and when they say "No" he tells them that from now on when theyre coming up to the balcony for whatever reason...to call first cause its intrusion of privacy and we could have been in the middle of something. They then proceed to act like they have every right to make sure their apartments are kept safe. I meanwhile am freaking out internally, having panic attacks, dizzy spells ETC cause i feel violated. I call my mom who has been a landlady all her life and knows the tenancy book like the back of her hand, and she says that if it happens again, while its not against the tenancy act, that i should report it. Says unfortunatly they are allowed outside the house wherever, just not inside.
