HELP by CYNTHIA (TEXAS) on June 4, 2012 @17:09

I am new at this and need help. I live in Texas, and I bought a manfactured home in a trailer park April 1,2012. A young lady moved in to the trail with out my Knowledge or aproval. She will not give me her name so I can evict her. What do I do?

You must get the Police and tell them she is tresspassing without your approval.

Are you talking about someone who broke in or moved in with someone else? If it was a break in you must call the police and make the woman get out at that very moment. Under no circumstances are you to allow her to go back in. Have people ready to move her belongings outside. If she goes back in with your permission she becomes a squatter and you will have to evict her. That means court cost and perhaps a lawyer plus weeks and months of free rent.

yep - the police can have her removed.
as she is a squatter and probably doesn't have utilities or anything in her name
she will now become the unpaying homeless

Call the police immediately. The longer she stays, the more rights she has. Unfortunately, squatters have rights.

You do not need the occupant's name in order to evict. You can file the petition against "Jane Doe and all occupants". Service on anyone of appropriate age IAW state law will be effective on all occupants. Good luck.

The unauthorized occupation of another person's property is UNLAWFUL TRESPASSING.
No eviction is required.

When the "young lady" leaves the property, reinforce the windows and doors and re-key the locks. Call the police to report that the "young lady" broke into the property and have her arrested.

This information is for the trespassing criminals perpetrating as tenants.
