I am the one that posted this title. The tenant I had before my current one tore the apartment apart after being served an eviction notice. She owed 2 months’ rent, and that was after me footing the bill just before all that for a complete security system she wanted just for her apartment alone. Our house had one I controlled, and a bunch of other things she wanted, even light bulbs she refused to buy.

She kept accusing me of entering her apartment, and I bought the security to prove I would never, ever do such a thing. I wanted her to feel safe and at home. I even changed every lock again that she asked for, and added more. Turned out she had a boyfriend that moved in with her, she never told me about, and she kicked him out supposedly after he beat her up, and then was afraid he would come back and get in. She lied so I would pay for all the things like new locks and security system by accusing me. I did see the boyfriend one day that I had thought had been her visitor in our area. He tried to tell me that she beat him up! LOL! I did not believe him at the time.

Moral of the story, she moved out and cost me everything I had saved in the last 7 years to try to get a new roof. It cost me all I had to fix all the damages she caused. I saved that by struggling, no cable TV, no fancy clothes, or gifts, just basics. While I watched her live it up. Goodies were more important to her than the rent. Now I am day to day.

Now the good part, You are soooooo right! About 2 months ago a letter was put in my mailbox for her. It was from the Sheriff’s Office. Seems she must be in trouble again. You are so right! I want to treat people how I think God would want me to treat others, or like I would want to be treated. I know what comes around goes around. It is so nice to know we can come here in times of trouble and support each other with wisdom and kindness. Heart breaking to see so many LL haters now. I pray things get better for you and everyone else here too, even the tenants. !
