If you can run a credit report you are likely to get the current employment. It is OK to file for garnishment at a number of suspected places of employment until you bingo.

The only detail in Iowa is that you can only attempt to garnish one at a time. You have to refile the court papers for each one. If you do not stay on top of it to determine that the garnishee doesn't work at that location; you will have to wait for 120 days for the garnishment to expire before you can file another one.
