I always wondered, it makes no sense for a LL to give the T 5 days to pay, but yet post a p/q on the 2nd day vs the 6th day, however, if the LL, especially on this case, knows that the T is not going to pay rent, then they can come and post the p/q notice before the 5th ... I guess that's the way it would make sense {in my head, not sure I am making a lot of sense to you} but I understand what you mean.
It's such a confusing thing! {the due date and grace period and when to post p/q!}.

P/Q should always be posted immediately when the rent is late. The grace period before the late fee (if any) is charged is irrelevant.
