court tomorrow--3 day to pay or quit dates wrong

I'm scheduled for court at 10am 6/8. I just realized my 3 days to pay or quit says "If the matter described above is not resolved within 3 days after receiving this notice to quit, please vacate the premises by the following date: 5/17/12" Then my server signed it & dated it---5/17/12 My renter signed but did not date the notice. I am assuming this means I must start all over. I imagine the judge will ask to see the notice. So do I even bother to go to court?

Yes, otherwise you lose by default. You can only explain what happened and hope for the best. But only explain if the court asks. Worst comes to worst, the court will dismiss and you will have to start over.
You must fully understand 562A of the Iowa Code, otherwise you need to hire a lawyer.
