Have you tried Craigslist? What town are you in? Any military bases? Colleges? Schools?

No military bases, I let the HR departments of the private college. I wasn't able to get through to the hr of public school yet. No I haven't done Craigslist, haven't heard a lot of positive about this.

With craigslist you will get a lot of spam and unqualified people, however, you can also get qualified people, I found my tenants through craigslist. And I found the house I lived before this one on craigslist too, in a SMALL, really really REALLY hard place to find rentals, so, it's free and worth a try, just pre-screen before making 100 appointments.

I may try craigslist. I learned my lesson from my other rental about prescreening -- showed the house many many times to people who after they filled out the application I found they wouldn't qualify or had forgotten to mention the pet or whatever.
So, far I've saved lots of time with prescreening.
