Maybe? That's exactly what is happening. Rent substantially lower than market value? Almost always they are collecting a security deposit, usually by wire transfer, and will "mail" the keys because they are on a mission trip out of the county and are accepting reduced rent for a "God fearing" tenant who will keep their place clean and in shape...

Yeah, people who fall for those scams are stupid... Find the fake and and report it. I just put a link to my property's website on Craigslist.
