A tenant may claim that the rent increase was unjust(retaliation or more than 10%). You do not have to do anything but make sure you are calculating the increase by the base rent ( . 1000.00 = $100.00) and do not add arbitrary fees or changing the material terms of the rental agreement without giving proper notice to the tenant. If you do it for one...do it across the board at the anniversary date of the original rental agreement.
