This could not be more true. I noticed in one of our properties that the taxes and taxed value of properties are extremly LOW. This annoyed me greatly as the city could do a better job of providing services to the people in an area if this was not so. Then I realized likely the reason why every property was so undervalued. If the city were to raise the taxes to the proper assessed and or sellable value then all the people who have owned there homes for 40 plus years would be forced to move as they could not keep up with the rising value and afford to pay their rightful taxes.
