tree fell

A tree fell on my tenants car on the fourth of July. Tenant claims he usually doesn't park there. We could not get anyone out on the 4th. He asked if he could cut the tree. He has a business and in insured so we said do what you have to do to get the car out. He said he cut the tree and will send me a bill. I'm okay with that. Here to find out another tenant took a picture of his friends jumping on the hood of the car. They thought I was responsible for damage to the car. Now I'm wondering if the tree really fell on the car since he said he usually doesn't park there. If he is being dishonest I don't want to pay him for tree removal. What are your thoughts?

First you should go see if there is a tree down... Damage to his car will be handled through his car insurance. If his insurance company thinks it's your responsibility then they will go to your insurance company. Don't give him any moeny for damage.

Why in the world would you be responsible for his car? Troll post. Most definitely. Everyone knows that is car insurance responsibility.
