DON'T USE THOSE DISHWASHERS IN A RENTAL!!!!! The ones that plug into the sink will be a hazard. Evidently my tenants above my art studio got one and proceeded to flood the place 2 weeks ago because they didn't plug it into the sink properly. They didn't even call or knock on my door to let me know about it. Instead they left a not which I didn't see until the next day.

Tens of gallons of water sat on the floor of my studio all night long. The dehumidifier fuller 5 gallons of water out of the space over the next 3 days! Luckily the actual damage seems to be minimal.

> DON'T USE THOSE DISHWASHERS IN A RENTAL!!!!!

When the rental house was my home, washing dishes wasn't a big deal
as being a bachelor who hates cooking, there wasn't ever much to do.

On the other hand, a couple of my friends do like cooking and they said
the lack of a dishwasher might be a deal breaker for them, if they were
looking for a place to rent.

But as I mentioned, it's a small kitchen and installing a regular dishwasher
(in addition to the cost) would eliminate say 40% of the already limited
cabinet space.

But I can see a roll-around dishwasher resulting in the kinda disaster you've
encountered.

Anybody familiar with "mini-dishwashers", approximately the size of a single
drawer / cabinet door section instead of taking out two drawers / doors, as
conventional washers do?

I found this article but it doesn't go into details;

And I found this really cool gadget, which would have been perfect;

Unfortunately, it's been discontinued (and it cost $1800).
