Unfortunately for you, there are a lot more laws about evicting a tenant than non-payment on a car or mortgage. If you're 2 days late, they don't file repo papers or file to foreclose on you. If you haven't made contact with them for 60 days, then they'll start the process, but not within 2 weeks. Moron.

I am... sorry... It's just ridiculous to hear the comparisons that make NO sense, however. Everyone knows you have to be seriously delinquint on your mortgage or car payments for them to be taken away. What if NJ meathead had his home taken away because he missed a payment by a week?
I agree you shouldn't care what their story is. It's none of your business. If she's going to and from the apartment, file on her. It sounds like he's too lazy to do due diligence and just wants to file eviction and be done with it.

First of all douchebag there is no need to resort to name calling :)
Second of all this is a summons you do not immediately get kicked out of your home. Do you know what a summons is? And yes I won't lose my home if I am late on my mortgage but do you have any idea what it does to your credit?
You obviously don't otherwise you wouldn't even bring it up.
