What state? Is she m2m or fixed term lease? For most states, if it's m2m then just give a 30 day notice to vacate.

Hi Dave,Time is money and to rlapece the key somoene has to drive to the hardware store to have a copy made. I don't think $ 25.00 is unreasonable to charge. Plumbers are approx. $ 65.00 an hour and up. Master Electricians are $ 75.00 and hour and up. Carpenters are $ 30.00 and up. Why should a Landlord take less than $ 25.00 an hour to rlapece a key that you lost? That is about what a trip to the local hardware takes to make a key theses days. It really doesn't matter how it was lost. It's still lost so it needs to be rlapeced. I know this seems to be a pain to you, but think how the property owner feels. Now they have to take time to go make a key that you lost. Let's see now as a Landlord I may be in a different state or even country, and I now have to arrange for either myself or somoene to get a key to you. Do I do it on the way home from work, or do I leave the yatcht club to fetch you a key. Do I have to go out of my way . of course I do because you lost my key. Was I planning on you doing this .no! So I get to charge you for the break in my schedule along with the gas and key blank I wasn't expecting you to lose. I think you get the point. Landlords have lives too!
