LPA Lease vs LPA rental agreement by Peggy on July 20, 2012 @19:24

What are the benefits and differences? I know one is longer than the other, but it looks to me like the rental agreement is just fine to use, even if it is shorter. Any downside?

LPA Lease Rental Agreement has fifty-four (54) lease clauses and is obviously more detailed.
LPA Rental Agreement has thirty-one (31) lease clauses and is thorough, but omits common state specific lease clauses and specific issue lease clauses, such as Plumbing Stoppages, Daily Rental, etc.

I find the Rental Agreement easier to follow. But I will look over both comparatively to see what I'm missing. Any issues if I edit some lease items into the rental agreement?

Hi Peggy,
The Rental Agreement is a shortened more streamlined version of The LPA Lease.

We tried to keep the most important basic landlord protection clauses in in for people who want a faster lease signing, but if you are renting a house to to tenants, I'd strongly recommend you maximize your landlord protection with the LPA Lease.

Like my lawyer always says, "if it's not in the lease, you can't enforce it."

Good luck!

I thank John every day for creating The LPA Lease. Best lease ever.
I would rather have more clauses in the agreement than not enough. John told me that MUPRHYS LAW happens when you leave out a protection clause from the contract and I AGREE!
