Re: illegal occupant by NY-LL on July 24, 2012 @01:10

The definition of an unauthorized tenant is limited to unrelated parties to the lessee in lease agreement.
The immediate relatives of the authorized tenant are legally allowed to dwell at the premises, provided they meet the landlords lawful requirements of no criminal background, etc. If the authorized tenant gets married during the tenancy, the spouse is legally allowed to dwell at the premises, despite being unemployed, or having poor credit, or not meeting other rental move-in requirements. If the authorized tenant has dependent children, the dependent children are allowed to dwell at the premises.
