How did you come about the evaluation of the abandoned property (items) at $300.00? If it is less than $300.00 as a whole, say $298.00 you can do as you please ( sell to recoup any lost fees)with it as long as you followed the proceeding information.CivilCode 1988. You can also file a small claims suit for reimbursement of storage and have the judge via the court clerk order the past tenants to pay the reimbursement and pick up the items at a court ordered scheduled time.

A few of the paintings and handbags alone valued >$300. So in this case we have to proceed with a public auction sale. What if we cannot sell all of the items? (Some are old clothes & handbags, etc). What do we do with the non-sold stuff?

After the auction any items left over may be disposed of by giving the items to charity or put out for trash collection.

She has now threatened us if we do anything to her items, she will sue us. Could you please tell us the procedures of conducting a public auction sale? We have no clue how to do an auction sale.
Thank you so much for your help!
