super glued commercial money boxes by nicey (Florida) on August 9, 2012 @20:27

Some one called us from a phone booth the other night to tell us that they had just gone to our laundry room and messed it up (not in those words of course) and they said they were going to continue doing it and *#X**X# me up. My my husband and son went to meet the police and found that they had peed into the dryers. They didn't notice that they had also super glued the money slides and the key access to the controls. So now we have no operating washers 2 or dryers 2. Has anyone ever had this problem? Is there a way to dissolve this glue? Does anyone know where to get inexpensive new slides and locks? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

I believe nail polish remover (acetone) will dissolve super glue.

You should also install some security cameras. Do you have a suspect?

In addition to the security cameras, install a hidden security camera like one inside a smoke detector. Also we put the visible one behind a metal and lexan shield inside the wall so the worst they can do is smear paint on it or tear the whole wall out, in which case we will have them on camera doing it.

Meanwhile I'd lock the laundry room and give the tenants notice that until the culprit is found there will be no more laundry.

Then try to figure out who's got it in for you. And unless it's obvious, like you just evicted someone, it's probably the tenant who you think is the best one.

Finally I'd try to track the location of the phone call and see if there are any video cameras in the area or if the area matches up with anyone who doesn't like you.

And no I don't have those kind of problems, because people know that if they did something like that to me and I found out who it was the police would be the least of their concerns.
