"I don't get my Social Security until after the first of the month, so rent will be late."

"So, if I want to test drive your house, what's the penalty for breaking the lease?"

"I don't currently work, but I'm an unemployed travelling pastor doing the lords work and I hope he will speak to you to give me a chance."

I'm grateful that they were at least honest. Anyone else have any whoppers they'd like to share.

Me: So will it just be you on the lease? T: Well my BF gets out of jail in six months. Will it be ok if he moves in with me? Better to find that out now, then after he moved in.

Tenant calling about my efficiency apartment that Say NO PETS in add. I ask "how many people" they respond 1 then as we are talking it comes out that there is a 2yr old and a baby on the way. I ask "what do they consider this child if it is not a person?" Then I keep talking and again ask about animals, not pets this time and they hesitate so I start naming off animals that I don't allow. So they finally say "so you wont let me have my German Shepard and my toy pincher?" By now i am pretty irritated and asked them if they even read my add and how did they think all those things were going to fit into this little apartment. Crazy people!!
