Over the years, I have stopped wasting my time responding to foreigners. I am one myself, so I am not being racist. I guess it takes one to know one, so I am sharing my experiences.

I find most have very poor habits with regards to upkeep and cleanliness, even though they are professionals with decent salaries. I attribute it to the cheap domestic labor they are accustomed to in their home countries. Most had maids/servants who did all this and no one taught them to lift a finger.

Also I find most foreigners have a sense of entitlement. They think they are doing you a big favor by paying you and expect you to be at their call and beckon. This again goes to their sense of cheap labor and how far a dollar can stretch. They are not proactive or handy.

Now I have had some good experiences with foreigners, but they are the exceptions . The only time I will respond to a foreigner's inquiry is if they are fully aware of their negative stereotypes and addressed each upfront in their initial inquiry.

Please explain to everyone on this forum, how you CANNOT POSSIBLY BE a racist, JUST because you are a FOREIGNER !!

I think that the fact that you have this stereotype in your head is the issue. I have had many foreign students. The situation has always been great for both of us. Student in general have a difficult time understanding things like upkeep...but their parents have raised these kids well and I have had no such "issues" as you have. You are racists.

There are some foreigners who just do not know the meaning of occupancy limit.

My parents came to the U.S. in 1837. Does this make me a foreigner? Do you check that far back in your background checks?

This line can get you in trouble. I had an easy rejection for a foreigner. X___ Insufficient income to meet property requirements. __ X___ Incomplete information, false information or information that could not be verified on your application.

It is still your choice if you choose to rent out your rental, or not. If you have not had good luck with foreigners....find someone you are confident you can work with. Because this is the person you will meet in the middle of the night when you arrive to fix the sump pump, or the furnace.

Personally belonging to a "foreigner family" I take HUGE offense to general statements like this. Other than mine, you could eat off the floors in the kitchens of most of my family. No one in my family or extended family had "domestic labor they are accustomed to in their home countries" . I also don't see a sense of entitlement ... I see people who are willing to work 12, 14 hours a day to get ahead and give their kids a chance not available "back home". My family came here understanding VERY little English ... they worked hard and those of us who were born here understand hard work and family. I have NO idea what a TOTALLY ignorant comment like "the only time I wil respond to a foreigner's inquiry is if they are fully aware of their negative stereotypes and addressed each up front in their initial inquiry".. There are PLENTY of people born in the U.S. who are ignorant, disgusting pigs, rude, mannerless, sense of entitlement (hello ... check out the entire welfare system overload), etc. It has nothing to do with race, religion, color, etc.

Aren't we all foreigners in the Americas with the exception of the small number of Native Americans who are descendants of those early modern men who crossed the Bering Strait on foot approximately 10,000 years ago?
