I think that the fact that you have this stereotype in your head is the issue.

I have had many foreign students. The situation has always been great for both of us. Student in general have a difficult time understanding things like upkeep...but their parents have raised these kids well and I have had no such "issues" as you have.

You are racists.

If you admit they are not good with upkeep, why waste your time renting to them?

I guess you didn't read my whole post? I said...while college kids are not generally good with upkeep...but..these kids were raised properly and I have no issue with them. AND..while on the topic...their parents live up to the responsibility to me and I NEVER have an issue with getting all repairs (etc) paid for promptly. To answer your question directly...I rent to them because it is very profitable. (that is the only reason to rent to anyone, actually).

Fair enough, though my tenants are not college students but young professionals in their 20s/30s. Also since I have few rentals, I can be very choosey. I assume you have many so do not have time to be picky.
