One of my rentals is in a neighborhood that is slowly being infiltrated by drug users/sellers. My family is experienced in gun use but we are considering taking a concealed carry class for additional training. Would you consider this a deduction for your rentals?

The class does not pertain strictly to your rental. It is voluntary education, completely not required for anyone who has a carry permit.
If you want additional training then kudos to you, but it's a stretch to say it is a cost you can deduct for a rental house.

If you are carrying a gun to collect the rent you need to get rid of that rental.
There is no way you can shoot and kill a person and be automatically OK with the police, the civil courts or be OK with yourself.
