Supply and demand, Bill. Get your mastered thinking on. If I want more rent for a household that includes a pet, I only get it if someone wants my rental property that much. If they don't want it, they go on down the street and I have a vacancy on my hands--but that never happens. Pet owners are willing to pay for the privilege of having their pets in my rental, so where's the problem? They're renting because they don't want to live under a bridge somewhere. They pay extra because they want pets living with them. They pay more because they want a good neighborhood. They pay whatever the market requires to get what they want. It's that simple. There no moral to it, just supply and demand.
