Re: Year lease expired, rolled into Month to Month - Landlord Forum thread 323078

Re: Year lease expired, rolled into Month to Month by Jackie (IL) on August 19, 2014 @14:58

When she moved in she paid first and last months rent. She stayed for month of June and paid and verbally committed to July (have recorded). June 18th she sent me 30 days notice, because she just wanted out...but she wanted a refund for the days she was not living there. Her lease terms are the first of month to last day of month, she should have given notice on 1st for the 30th.

Plus, the original lease rolls over and they should have given 45 days notice, not 30. I will still give her deposit back. I just don't think I need to pro-rate as I would have to try and rent it again.
