Does anyone know how to speed up a "Writ of Restitution" in Arizona? I already won the Judgement in court.
Just trying to figure out if there is any way to speed things along with the Sheriff.
Thanks, Greg in Phoenix

Hello -- In New Mexico, when I am awarded the judgment on the writ of restitution, this is what happens:
1) The court asks me if I want to give the tenant from 3-10 additional days to leave. -- I always say 3 days, and we agree on a time of day.
2)Then the court gives me a copy of the judgment for the Sheriff and a copy for my files.
3)I immediately take the paperwork to the Sheriff's office (this costs me an additional $35)... I pay it because the Sheriff's office will send someone on the date and time of the eviction to be sure they are OUT of the property as prescribed by the court.
This has been very helpful to me in about 7 evictions over the course of 12 years. Most people leave...some don't.
You should call the Sheriff's department and ask for their procedure to help you uphold your judgment. Good luck
