After a couple of expteriences like yours devolving to the point where I'm dealing with 9-year olds translating for their parents, I quit renting to folks who don't speak English. When it comes time to correct a lease violation or pay rent on time, it'll be "no habla" or whatever the language equivalent is for your prospects.

They seemed kind of fly by night...the man was being paid under the table at his job so there was no way to verify the income...I'm glad they went away.

They may have decided that they couldn't afford it. Anyway, all's well that ends well...

Hope you find great tenants soon.

Thank you Becky...I am letting it sit vacant until I find decent ones...I just put a lot of money into having it repainted and doing other repairs, so I can't take a chance on someone marginal.
