The response about Certified mail was excellent. I don't understand why tenants or LL don't use "postal mail". In this situation as soon as I called and received the LL reply I would have sent a written request (certified)for an itemized list. In this case as T I would write down all the calls I made and the general content so I didn't forget the dates/times/content of my conversations.
Mostly I deal with my T's via e-mail, but if I suspect there may be a problem with something I write them via postal mail.
