NO Jasmine, Please do not misquote me! I did not say it will increase the landlord's insurance. Please re-read my post. I said that I cannot speak for all insurance companies, but many of them don't approve of aggressive breeds, which I noted your dog is NOT. I also require that all tenants have renters insurance. I charge a non-refundable pet fee, not because I can but because of the additional RISK I take from accepting pets and because of the additional occupant/entity LOAD it places on my property. It's just smart business to do so. I have been screwed so badly before, to the tune of a thousand dollars, by tenants pets, that I have learned my lesson. Why not just wait the eight months and move somewhere else where they don't charge for pets? Good luck finding one.
