I love seeing these kind of post. Seems like they thought they struck gold or something since the landlord dies. By default usually there are succession clauses in most leases. Therefore you still need to "prove" you are making payments to someone regardless what happens to the landlord.
-If the landlord dies you still make payments.
-If a war breaks out and there is civil unrest you still make payments
-If we experience Judgement day and God walks on the earth again, you still make payments.
-If a meteor the size of Russia is heading towards earth and will split the earth down the center killing everyone on the surface, you still make payments. If you somehow survive on the good half you still make payments.
