OK Mr. Reno I need some help my landlord I have 2 a building one and the one I'm "sub renting" from they used to be friends of mine she and her boyfriend ransacked my home with permission from her father who is the owner of the building. First off I wasn't home and got no previous warning they were arriving luckly my boyfriend was there who was living with me informed me about them being in my home anyway she lives in a suburb near San Francisco she doctored a contract saying she lives here when in fact she hasn't lived on the building for 2 years she moved to the suburb after that so anyway she come in and shes ransacking and throwing my possessions in the living room anyway my boyfriend lives with me the problem with all this is that they never gave me a contract so theirs no paper trail so everything is verbal my land
Lord never wrote me a receipt insisted I'd pay cash now I'm young and nieve and they took advantage of my kindness they are illegal renters a

The building is so below code its despicable they never made any necessary repair and its a death trap they have wires hanging out and they cave cracks in the roof and pieces of the wall coming off anyway back to the police they said they can kick me out in 30 days I'm trying to contact lawyers who will help me and I'm reporting them to the housing authorities they are claiming I never paid a security deposit and they are stealing my deposit and I was supposed to by a car from them and they stole all my money from the the police I can't claim that since I have no proof and I lose out on that she claims she lived there to the police mind you she moved all my stuff in the living room 20 mins before they said basically their siding with and its not criminal so now they cant lock me out but I cant either I'm really lost I need help I don't feel comfortable with my belongings there so I moved them into his storage unit we both got kicked out I'm the only allowed to stay at the building from what the police say my boyfriend was kicked out because she doesn't like him and the police said it was OK because she owns the place I left my dishes and gym and refrigerator I took pictures of everything I left she continually threatens me she has costed my boyfriend and I money for our because we didn't have money for the storage unit and uhaul we had to rent now our family members are trying to help with our additional charges and I may lose my job because of this I had to call out twice I need help what can I do I can't contact the housing athourities until Tuesday January 2 /15 we even told her we were moving what do o do I'm in Los Angeles and I'm desperate

Sorry for the rude response.
I hope in the future, those who don't want to answerr questions will refrain from their initial impulse to lash out with rudeness and just move on. Let someone else answer it. If no one does, oh well.

This is the Landlord Q&A Forum where landlords go for advice.

Sometimes a tenant comes on for advice, but most landlords are going through their own tenant issues and may not be in the state of mind to advise tenants on how to deal with their issues.
Some do and some are very patient.

You'd probably want to talk with a local tenant attorney about the situation.

I was just kidding! I wanted to see who would respond to a tenant writing on a landlord site!
