I thing it's unreasonable to ban nails and screws on walls, just because of the new "stickers" for walls. A LL should suggest the "stickers" while telling the T that they will be charged for patching any holes and repainting the walls after they move out. I want my tenants to feel like it's their HOME , and to hang pictures of their family anywhere they choose. Yes, the modern "stickers" have made it so there can be less damage to walls, so I leave it up to the T to decide if they want to be charged for damages later on. It's kind of like cell phones. When we all had landlines, Ts and LLs alike did not expect someone to answer the phone if they weren't home. But because of the modern cell phone, should both LLs and Ts expect each other to answer the cell EVERY TIME, because we now live with our cells 24/7/365 ? -------Back to the holes----the more "picky" a LL is about finding the "perfect" tenant, and about all the regs and rules about living in a property, then the smaller the tenant pool is to choose from. A LL could lose a good potential T just by how picky they are about how they want their tenant to live.
