Tree Roots - Landlord Forum thread 331656

Tree Roots by Anonymous on March 2, 2015 @22:04

I have a tree that has grown quickly, producing a massive pile of big roots. I am having the tree cut low on the stump, but are there any tricks to deal with the leftover roots? For the stump I have used stump dissolving powder from some store with success. It just takes a couple of years to soften the stump up.

I had to have several stumps removed after a tornado took down all the trees. I found the having the ground into wood chips was most cost effective and timely. I paid like $45 a stump to be done. My local tree cutting company did it. Just an idea. good luck

Have the stump ground. Eventually the roots will die. Stump grinding is not real costly. I paid 80 to have three medium stumps taken out. The two stumps in the front were ground down far enough that I was able to grow grass over them by before summer was over.
It the roots are really bad, have you considered digging them out? Or raising the dirt level over them?
