Re: Tenants Breaks Lease - Landlord Forum thread 332592

Re: Tenants Breaks Lease by Sarah (WY) on March 25, 2015 @10:48

I did tell this this morning that I would have to receive in writing a formal notice that they are breaking their lease early. But well see, to date they haven't been the best at communication.

I think it will be a blessing in disguise that they are moving out.

If you have their email address, send them an email and say you are putting in writing their verbal notice to move out, and they just need to reply to this email saying "Yes, I am moving out and terminating the lease on x date."

Or, even just "Yes, that is correct."

If you only have their phone number, do it via text.

It would be better than nothing, and might be easier to get.
