I have a house (I pay the water and the T pays me)and they constantly complained about their high water bill. When the daughter moved out their water bill was cut almost in half. Her long showers were the cause of the high bills. Also, I have another place where the water bill was around $430 for YEARS. Then I got one bill that was $800. It turned out that the tank seal on one of the toilets was broken and the toilet was running constantly and the tenant never bothered telling me. I'm sorry for you that you don't have your own meter. If I were you, I would tell the landlord that you do everything in your power to conserve water and that he/she might want to inspect all the toilets, etc...just to get him into the other units to see how many people are in there :) Good luck!
