I will not release her from her lease because the unit will be empty for a month, leaving it open to a possibility of squatters or vandals coming in and destroying it, as well as lost rent. I will not be in town for a month. I have made endless alterations from the unit for her. She has caused endless hardship. She is leaving regardless, she doesnt care that she is breaking the lease. I told her I would not release her from the lease.
When she vacates... because she said she will and abandon the property. Can I post a non payment of rent notice? and sue her for unpaid rents...ie 2 months.... untill her lease ends....up in May. I was there to babysit it is a different story but I will not be. I have maintenance men that do repairs but I personally like to pick my tenants (yes...I know ...I didnt do a good job this time picking)
