I understand your comment, but to me, as a landlord, and my property. Even a small bowl, if left in a room with beautiful hardwood floors, if it drops and the tenants don't properly attend to the mess can cause significant costly damages.

With that being said, I did have a tenant that wanted a small salt-water tank and I allowed it, with the specification that it be placed in the kitchen over the linoleum floor as opposed to any living space with hardwood or carpet.
