Read the letter again.
I believe that the landlord issued to you a quit or pay notice. When that time had expired, the landlord doesn't not have to let you pay..just go.
So, basically... you are being given the opportunity to leave before the landlord files for an eviction. Once the landlord does that you will have an eviction on your background rental history...forever. This is permanent and will make it very hard for you to rent again any place decent.
SO.. it is leave quickly or leave with a serious black mark on your history.
