If you ask me, the wording just has no place on a legal contract.
What you are saying is what you say when you go over the lease, line by line. Think about it; chances are this is the only time they will ever see/hear it. How many times over the course of the lease do you think they'll pull the lease to see what it says?
That wording only applies to when they are late. Add it on a sticky note to the standard pay-or-quit notice.
