I posted about the damage my last tenant did to the brand new hardwood floors. I have an estimate from the company I will use as they are the ones who installed the floors.

First question: This is not like an insurance claim where I need three estimates, correct? When you are fixing or installing something like floors I assume you don't just find the cheapest but someone you know will do a good job and do it right? Even if I could go to the effort of finding cheaper I don't know that the a different company might mess it up. I do know this companies work. They have installed floors in two different homes and I trust them.

Second question: Now that I know the price and the company knows what the job will entail I need to call them and get on the schedule. This could be 5 weeks out, who knows until I schedule. When I schedule I would like to do it with my new tenants convenience in mind. This means I would like to ask my new tenant when is most convenient. This seems good business correct?

Third question: Does anyone know if in my state I need the work done before I send SDSS? Can I use my estimate which is going to be the price?
