Unless this is a large complex, I would never make a purchase offer on viewing just one unit. If this complex has less than 8 units, I'd want to see them all. That one unit could be the "show" unit and the others could look nothing like that one. The others could be abused, feded paint, worn out appliances, countertops, cabinets, etc. No way I'd make an offer based on that. When I inspect to buy, I want to see everything (including the basement & attic).

Contigencies are fine, but I want to know BEFORE I put in the offer, not after. Why go to all the trouble of getting financing for a place I'm not really interested in. If the owners aren't forthcoming enough to let me see more than one unit, I won't even make the offer. There's too many on the market to play these games.

Some will not disturb all their tenants for window shoppers. 1-2 apts is enough if they are identical layouts. I've bought this way and will only sell this way.
