Home owners insurance would cover the leg, you are right about it should be a criminal act to trash someones rental property. I feel for you.

Thanks, I just don't understand. In my criminal statute book, the act of destroying another's property in the financial amount that they did constitutes Criminal Mischief, a class 4 felony. But the sheriff deputy told me that in the eyes of the law, once a tenant is legally living in a home as a renter, they can do what they please, because in essence, the home is "theirs" during that time. I'm like "What????". Where is the justice? We now cannot pay the mortgage on the house because the rent was paying for that. We may lose the house now. Also, the house was furnished, and they destroyed all of that, too.

I feel your pain. It just happened to me. The place is now unlivable. It was beautiful when they moved in. I am sick and broke. I will probably lose my place also. Not sure what to do.

It happen to me,trash my apto.hire a lawyer and in court she said,it was not me,and i waiting on court answer total $ for the destruction $ 4650 dollars has to be a law against this is vandalism

the bitch was using my house for prostitution had mile long police record, cocain pipes everywhere an I WAS Arrested...She pay rent 3 months ago and did demadge for 2000 using toilett for disposing her tampons and flooding my house.
