Yes, it lasts for the rest of my life. My ex-husband and I (we have a son together; my daughter is from my 2nd marriage) were very close, and wanted me to have it. My son gets another settlement his father had, plus whatever he earns from the Army.

You were close and he is your ex...could not have been too close. ANOTHER Settlement? What job has those perks?
