Call your local housing authority to check on this.

We have only one Section 8 family; it took several months to get this direct deposit set up. Now we get the housing authorities part on the first of each month (if the first ends on a Saturday or Sunday we get this the friday before).

If your renter still has to pay her share (and most do) collecting this amount is between you and your tenant.

Housing Authority is paying 100% for this tenant. Paying her an allowance toward utilities too.

I called them twice before getting the initial (prorated) month's payment. But I'll call them again ...

    Give them a call. It will take some time to get you into the computer so checks/deposits will be forwarded to your account. Remember this is a govt. program. Nothing happens quickly where the govt. is concerned.
