LL on multi-family MUST allow satellite/cable, but the manner in which it is installed is dictated by LL. I haven't reviewed the federal law on this lately, but I seem to remember that SFH LLs are exempt from this requirement. OP - you should have specific installation instructions in a permission-letter form and a clause in your lease which indicates satellite dish/cable installation must be made in compliance with LL's instructions, available on request (or you can supply the instruction/permission letter as an attachment the lease).

Unfortunately it looks like SFH are not exempt unless they are historic properties. There is a rather lenghtly fact sheet:
