Unpaid Rent - not much only a couple of hundred dollars.

And I'll have to get a new lock and keys (he says he lost the keys).

So it's only going to total about $375 - but this guy is determined to make my life hell...he'll take me to court just so that I would have to travel up to NH to be there...

You need to change locks after each tenant. Keep your existing locks and rotate them after each tenancy. This will not cost you $175. Court cost will be greater than the $200 in lost rent. Cut your loses and return the deposit.
