How exactly do you charge the tenant for cleaning? Just take it out of their security deposit? At this point the security deposit won't even cover the damages she had already done to the unit. I had to buy a new refrigerator because it failed the section eight inspection and it was over 25 years old. Going forward I will be doing a monthly inspection of my unit and will be calling section eight to report her unsanitary ways of living. Thanks for everyone's feedback. I normally would never have cleaned up after anyone - I was the one being threatened no rent for March and just wanted to make sure the unit passed inspection so I would get rent. I will never do this again going forward.
