it's a scam - these agencies ONLY deal with registered LL's with their services.
the call you got was from the prospective 'tenant' that wants to move into your house, have you chase a phoney person for the rent and then make you evict them

they're gypsies

Thanks very much for the reply. They do have a very professional web site, and the Chicago BBB gives them an A+ rating. Has anyone else had a call from them? Thanks...

What you are going to get for tenants, will very little exception, are the down and outs who will not have good credit or can pass a criminal background check. They will pack your place like a sardines in a can. Once their government subsidy expires you will be stuck with tenants that can not pay and have wrecked your place.

My experience with a company that had the same charter as the one mentioned by the OP, was positive. I am not sure if it was the same outfit or not. The compnay that contacted me needed to find housing quickly for a family a mile away from my rental who's house had burned down. All the standard credit/criminal/employment background checks and fees were to be performed and I could screen these people and accept or reject them. It was up to me. The trouble was that this family thought they wanted a SFH, but it turned out that they really just needed an apartment because they did not need any maintenance responsibilities while theey particpiated in rebuilding their house. If it had worked out I could have accepted them because I was offering a six month lease.

the Chicago BBB gives anyone who pays their membership a AAA+ rating
it costs you $250/year to get a AAA+ rating - has absolutely nothing to do with better business - just money grab from agency

My experience with them as a consumer has been negative. My house was partially destroyed by a natural disaster and A.L.E. Solutions has been completely useless as far as finding us housing. We have nearly perfect credit (credit rating over 800) so that is not the issue. I suspect they get kickbacks from the hotel industry as they refuse to place us in a condo or single family home yet we are in a hotel room that costs my homeowner's insurance double what a condo or house would cost.

the company is 100% legit. there are legal binding docs to support. the docs are the lease from the Landlord and promise to pay from ALE. now the person that complained that ALE did nothing is a lie. the adjuster approves/disapproves on all cases. i have a very inside track with this company.

My insurance company used Ale Solutions to put my two kids and myself in a hotel. I was told that I was approved and a hotel would be paid for us until Jan.2. I received a phone call telling me that I had to pay 350 dollars out of my pocket or leave the hotel. All of this was done to me last minute. December 31st. We lost our home and were at the mercy of this company to take care of the hotel stay. This is how they treated me and my children. I would not recommend them at all.

I have had a very bad experience with ALE solutions as a landlord. Check out the Northern Illinois/Chicago Better Business Bureau for details.

    Landlords beware!

Thats not true, they contacted me and they seem to be on the up and up. I'm considering renting to one of the clients. Just have to work out the money details, but as long as you have a lease that's iron clad your good to go.

They contacted me and they are on the up and up best I can tell. True you don't know what your getting for tenants, but you also don't know who is writing the negative feedback about them neither....just something to think about.

Yes, and they are terrible. Payment is never on time, tenants complain constantly, and they never answer the phone. Do not work with or for this company.

They found me an apartment near work right away. The problem that I'm having with them is after I moved out, they never gave me my rental deposit back. I'm calling them daily and they never call me back. They owe me $500
