You cannot turn off any utility that is in someone's else's name. Your best bet is a the cure or quit notice. If they cannot show you proof that it is paid at the end of the cure or quit notice's timeframe, follow up and file eviction. If this is your first eviction, you may want to consult a local lawyer that can advise you. If they have broken the terms of the lease, this is grounds for eviction. Read up on minnesota law as well.....
